Derivation Channel

In 2015, excavations on land and rock were completed, resulting in the total extraction of 130 million cubic meters of material for the formation of the Derivation Channel, which is 20 kilometers long, 210 meters wide at the base and 25 meters of depth.

The Canal lining was also completed, with the use of 4.4 million square meters of processed rock for the floor and 2.7 million square meters of rocks on the slopes. All the material used comes from the reuse of the excavations in the area of the hydroelectric plant itself.
