Deviation Channel

Land and rock excavations were completed in In 2015, resulting in the total extraction of 130 million cubic meters of material for the formation of the Deviation Channel, which is 20 kilometers long, 210 meters wide at the base and 25 meters.

The Channel lining was also completed, with the use of 4.4 million square meters of processed rock for the floor and 2.7 million square meters of rocks on the slopes. All material used was repurposed from the excavations in the area of the hydroelectric plant itself.
