Belo Monte Highlighted at the International Dam World Conference

Belo Monte's construction was the feature topic of one the main presentations at the 3rd International DAM WORLD Conference 2018, held in September in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná.
Globally recognized as one of the greatest events in the industry, the conference brought together professionals from different nationalities who had the opportunity to learn about the challenges and innovations of the largest 100% Brazilian hydroelectric plant, in a presentation led by civil engineer Oscar Bandeira, Construction superintendent at Norte Energia, the company responsible for the plant.
The conference, which takes place every three years, was organized by the Brazilian Concrete Institute (IBRACON) and the National Laboratory for Civil Engineering – Portugal (LNEC), with the support and partnership of the Brazilian Committee on Dams (CBDB), the International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD) and the Portuguese National Commission on Large Dams (CNPGB).
In addition to appearing among the main presentations, Belo Monte also had 8 (eight) of the 105 international white papers approved by the Scientific Committee and published in the Conference Proceedings.
