Multi-Hybrid RPAS - Underway

In December 2018, Norte Energia initiated the "MULTI-HYBRID RPAS" project for the purpose of developing remote monitoring technology to replace conventional inspection and monitoring methods in HPPs.

R&D Project Title: BVLOS MULTI-HYBRID RPAS - Development of a drone with technology to conduct multiple monitoring and inspection missions in the HPP.

ANEEL Code: PD-07427-0118/2018.

Estimated execution period: from 12/2018 to 01/2022.

Objectives:
Develop remote monitoring technology that replaces conventional inspection and monitoring methods in HPPs, such as:
(i) visual inspection of the dam structure;
(ii) geodetic monitoring;
(iii) thermal inspection of the LT;
(iv) fauna search on the banks of the river;
(v) monitoring of the Reservoir and APP – Permanent Preservation Area.

Description:develop remote monitoring technology that replaces conventional inspection and monitoring methods in HPPs. The BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) MULTI-HYBRID RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft System) is called BVLOS MULTI-HYBRID because it applies hybrid technologies both in the RPAS and in the SENSORS and its development will have RPAS and SENSOR design technology capable of serving missions in the HPP by conducting aerial surveys of its areas of interest, which are generally areas of great extension such as APPs.

Product to be produced:develop the prototype of the BVLOS MULTI-HYBRID RPAS product.

Estimated Investment: R$ 8,166,435.60.

Entity Involved (executing agency):  Instituto de Tecnologia XMobots da Amazônia Ltda.
