Investments in Conservation Units

In compliance with environmental compensation legislation, Norte Energia is investing R$ 135 million to create new Conservation Units (UCs) and also update those already existing in the Amazon region, providing such funds to the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Preservation (ICMBio) and Forestry Development and Biodiversity Institute of the State of Pará (Ideflor-bio), which is linked to the Secretary of State for Environment and Sustainability of Pará (SEMAS), for land regularization and investments in the infrastructure of these UCs.
